A: jack invented a new style of writing. constant. wrote on the road in 2 weeks with no sleep. thats the theme of the title.

Its used in the treatment of depression and other things like that. I'm not 100% sure if its considered one, but its like an anti-depressent. And while, those make you not depressed, they don't really make you less tired or hungry. And I'm pretty sure Benzedrine is also used in the treatment of manic depression(Bi-Polar) and it help even you out. So, I'm pretty sure that in his answer, Pete meant that they were on the road when they wrote the song, they were tired and overworked, and thats what the song ended up being about. And you know, I could be wrong. I've heard a fair amount of people tell me its really, really political. But when I hear it all I can think of is medication and being so overworked that THATS what you would end up writing songs about. xD. I don't know. Songs are touchy. They mean different things to different people. I LOVE the song and all, and maybe someday I'll find a truely deep meaning behind it. But as for now, I think its an awesome song and everything, I just can't really find anything politically related. I don't know. Its up to your own interpretation.

benzedrine is a medicine (the drug is amphetamine, benzedrine is its trade/ brand name) and it is used to basically wake you up, it makes you less tired and hungry. so pete is pretty much saying the song has this title cause when they wrote the song they were sleep deprived and most probably took tons of benzedrine to make themselves feel better. i hope i got this right, and that you get it now. :)

I love the song, even my anti- anything i like sis likes it, but when i was singing under my breath at school my religion teacher looked at me real funny. . now i know why. It was almost like the time i sang i constantly thank god 4 esteban by p!ATD IN religion, but that was coz i h8 my teacher. . .

is an amphetamine. Its "used in the treatment of certain conditions, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, and narcolepsy"~dictionary.com. Hmm...wonder what that could mean...Come on guys. Lets put two and two together.

Benzadrine is a drug, actually. A very old one, with some reference to the origional Indiana Jones. I think he took them to keep him awake? Wikipedia, kids ;D

20 dollar nose bleed is one of my favorites! I walk around my house yelling it, my mom looks at me like I'm on crack...I walk up to random people at school and yell the words at them, they think I'm on some sort of drugs too, but the poeple who are used to my random bursting into song and dance just laugh and walk away, or join me if they know it!
